Cựu danh thủ David Beckham vừa nhận khoản cổ tức 28 triệu bảng Anh từ đế chế thương hiệu cá nhân của mình. Các hợp đồng hợp tác thương mại với các thương hiệu lớn như Stella Artois và Boss đã giúp bù đắp khoản lỗ tại xưởng sản xuất truyền hình của anh, minh chứng cho sức hút mạnh mẽ của thương hiệu Beckham dù đã rời xa sân cỏ từ lâu.
Beckham kiếm 28 triệu bảng từ đế chế thương hiệu cá nhân
David Beckham, người từng là đội trưởng đội tuyển Anh, đã nhận khoản cổ tức lên tới 28 triệu bảng từ công ty DRJB Holdings, đơn vị quản lý đế chế thương hiệu cá nhân của anh. Khoản tiền này đến từ các hợp đồng thương mại mới ký với các thương hiệu nổi tiếng như Stella Artois và Boss.
Năm 2022, Beckham bán 55% cổ phần trong các doanh nghiệp của mình cho Authentic Brands với giá 200 triệu bảng. Authentic Brands, công ty sở hữu hình ảnh các huyền thoại như Muhammad Ali và Elvis Presley, cùng các thương hiệu như Reebok, đã giúp phát triển thêm giá trị thương hiệu Beckham.
Tính từ thời điểm thương vụ được ký kết, DRJB Holdings đã phê duyệt khoản cổ tức trị giá 99 triệu bảng, trong đó Beckham hưởng 28 triệu bảng.
Báo cáo tài chính của DRJB Holdings cho thấy doanh thu tăng nhẹ trong năm 2023, từ 89,7 triệu USD lên 91,2 triệu USD. Lợi nhuận trước thuế đạt 36 triệu USD, tăng từ con số 31 triệu USD trong năm trước, sau khi loại bỏ các yếu tố một lần liên quan đến thương vụ bán cổ phần.
Phần lớn doanh thu đến từ DB Ventures Limited, công ty quản lý các hợp đồng thương mại của Beckham với các thương hiệu lớn như Nespresso. Lợi nhuận tại đây tăng 18%, đạt 37,5 triệu USD.
Một bộ phận khác, Seven Global LLP, quản lý các hợp đồng nằm ngoài DB Ventures, bao gồm hợp tác với Adidas và thương hiệu mắt kính DB Eyewear. Tuy nhiên, lợi nhuận của bộ phận này giảm nhẹ từ 11,9 triệu USD xuống 10,9 triệu USD.
